All Glam'd Up at the Golden Globes

This time last week, we kickstarted the hotly anticipated 2020 award season with the always glamorous 77th annual Golden Globes. Hollywood A-listers from the likes of Margot Robbie, Jenifer Lopez and Helen Mirren graced us with their presence as stars of the red carpet, while our Queen, Beyonce, was as elusive as ever – skipping the red carpet entirely and slipping into the ceremony well after it had begun, with husband Jay-Z.

It was a night to celebrate the incredible talent and impressive achievements in the entertainment realm, but for us, it was the beauty inspiration we need (and so desperately crave) for the year ahead! From peachy minimalist tones and dramatic eyes to the unwaveringly-popular bold red lip – here are our favourite looks of the night!

Rooney Mara, Michelle Williams and Jennifer Aniston kept their looks perfectly minimal, with soft pink/peachy tones complimenting their gowns beautifully and showing us that simple subtlety can always be enough. Rooney channelled Star Wars with her extravagantly embellished space buns while her makeup was soft and delicate with bold, brushed-out brows. Jennifer and Michelle let their natural beauty shine through as their makeup was left humbly modest, with gentle pink lips completing their effortless makeup looks.

Rachel Brosnahan, Kerry Washington and Awkwafina proved that the red lip is here to stay – no matter the year (or decade)! Each of these stunning ladies served up serious fierceness with their respective shades of red – from Rachel’s deep ombre tones and Kerry’s classic vixen shade, to Awkwafina’s red wine-stained lips.

Lucy Boynton, Winnie Harlow and J-Lo took their looks to the next level with dramatic eyes, and when was say dramatic we mean DRAMATIC! Lucy was a metallic marvel with bold black eyeshadow and eyeliner accompanied by crystal-embellished wings, while Winne’s eye makeup paired seamlessly with her gorgeous dress thanks to electrifying blue eyeliner sweeping along her lash lines. As per usual, J-Lo can do no wrong, and her eyes were popping as a result of beautifully blended deep purple and golden eyeshadow tones.
